Thomas Leeb Concert At 12 Bar Later Joined By Eric Roche
An amazing 12 Bar Club concert that starts with about 25 minutes of Thomas Leeb solos. He is then joined by Eric Roche for the rest with outstanding duets. The whole show is 49 minutes long. Two absolutely insane moments are when they are playing a duet and Eric reaches over to tune one of the strings on Thomas Leebs’ guitar! Got it done and without missing a beat. Incredible! But that is not all, the absolute highlight is when Thomas starts playing a song and Roche reaches over him and the two of them play the same guitar and make it the greatest duo of all time.
Eric Roche
was a unique talent, a guitar virtuoso, great composer and on top of that an incredible live performer. Eric Roche had a great way of communicating his music. All can be seen in this fabulous 2 hour performance where he does several solos, duets, and all together. The world had a great loss in 2005 when Eric died quite young. He plays a number of solos in this concert and many of the songs are the first ever recorded and very famous, like “Peculator.” Born in the USA and raised in Ireland his guitar and rhythm techniques are the most copied in the music industry.
Thomas Leeb
calls his music “the bastard child of acoustic guitar.” He combines new and unusual techniques, ideas, and harmonies into a tapestry of sound uniquely his. These days Thomas is a faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts, teaching Finger-style Guitar. In this concert he does several solos and watch as he is master of the craft. His continuous evolution of a song as he plays shows he is gifted in creating on a base.
