Sam Andrew is most noted from his work with Big Brother and Holding Company and Bob Strano is a New York legend in his mind and in reality. Add to that Billy Ficca who holds so many groups and sessions together you need many hands to count them all.
The set is extraordinary and spans almost an hour and a half of fast paced and hold on to your seat rock and roll with a real power rock group.
Who are 3tles
They are a three piece cross-continental, intercontinental, interplanetary band consisting of Uncle Bob Strano (X Volunteers) , Sam Andrew (Big Brother and Holding Company) and Billy Ficca who previously has drummed for Television. The band spent their playing, recording, and down time split between London and New York City.
Same Andrew, from Big Brother & The Holding Company, has a long an wonderful history and with this show it takes me back to the days when they played the Yellow Dog. Billy Ficca was the drummer from the band Television. Uncle Bob Strano has been a fixture in rock music like forever.
Where are 3tles today
In 2012 Uncle Bob NYC released the solo album From 14th … 10011 that again featured Ficca plus guest spots by Yaffa, Blondie drummer Clem Burke & guitarist Gary Lucas of Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band & Gods & Monsters.
