Description
Jeremy Saxon Live And Solo At 12 Bar Club, London
What a pleasure to have Jeremy Saxon at the fabulous 12 Bar Club, London as he powered through 45 minutes of entertainment. It did not matter, guitar, dobro, or whatever Jeremy mastered them all and more. Singing historical old music from the US south bringing real roots rock and roll to the UK stages.
Please note that the first minutes of the set have some distortions, due to the tapes age, but I did not cut those songs because they still maintain enough quality to be heard.
Who is Jeremy Saxon
Jeremy was brought up in a house filled with music. Eventually he went to study music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as well as attending the Performance Art at the San Francisco Art Institute. He started out as a performer in various San Francisco small clubs and started to understand:
“It comes down to playing something more interesting to the audience than their next beer. And those were some very interesting beers!”
He then went to Prague shortly after the Velvet Revolution, where his spoken word and music performances became an integral part of that countries ‘Paris of the 1990’s scene.’ It is during the time in Prague that Jeremy formed several bands and recorded four albums spanning a range of genres, including Blues, Jazz, Rock, Country and Gospel. In 2008 he relocated to the Cajun and Creole parishes of Southwest Louisiana, where making music with friends is an expected part of life.
