Gertrude All Girl Band From UK At Bull And Gate
It was a great night as Gertrude took the stage at the Bull and Gate. Unlike another girl band here, The Catholic School Girls, Gertrude exudes punk attitude reflected in their music. The band is tight. They work like a clock as they know their songs and pump them out with gusto.
This set is with the original five member band before Debbie and Stefania, from the band Voodoo Queens, left the group. With a full band sound and everyone taking a front woman turn at the Gertrude wheel the fans are reeling from the good vibes. With smiling faces and swirling style the band cranked out a fan pleasing set.
Who are Gertrude
Gertrude is a London based, post punk alternative all female band with members from all around London.
The project started in 1997 and the band has played many gigs in the London underground DIY scene, toured in Europe, including The Netherlands, Germany, and off to the USA and Canada.
