There is not a lot about this group. They came, they saw, they parked their car, and they were gone. Heavy duty funk metal heads blast their music from the beginning to the end. Controlling the stage and the sound the band was a big hit at the CMJ week. As there is very little about this band in English, there is some things available with some Japanese. 風神 Foojin are a Japanese rock, funk metal band that came to Spiral for the CMJ Week. The abundant energy and wild abandon was apparent as they jumped around the stage even before their music played. The fans in the room were ready and while the lyrics may have been obscure for Americans the music was loud and proud. A real dazzler.
This was one of two Japanese musical acts that came to the Spiral Lounge for CMJ. The other band was Tomovsky whose concert was during that CMJ Music Festival week. All of these bands were broadcast over the Internet by the OnlineTV broadcast networks and including MusicTV.com where 1000’s of groups were broadcast over the years and are now part of RicksMusicArchives thanks to Lost Concerts.
