Drywater Live At Spiral Lounge, NYC
Drywater has the honor of being the first band ever to be broadcast live from the Spiral Lounge in NYC. They did not disappoint as they took command of the stage and did an outstanding performance. The most interesting thing about this band is how much fun they have on stage. It was a great to watch a show that gave off a great vibe. People from over 100 nations enjoyed the live broadcast and it was a great band to do a breakthrough concert.
Drywater performs live at Spiral Lounge for OnlineTV Internet broadcast. Camera by Rick Siegel. This is early Cyclone Static actually, but is from May 24, 1997 and was the first every live streaming concert for OnlineTV.com from the Spiral Lounge. This was the start of a new era for Internet Broadcast media and we have to thank Rick Siegel for his bleeding edge drive.
Here are the original band called Drywater with James Salerno and Johnathan LeVine. These days they morphed into the band Cyclone Static.
Johnathan LeVine had reconnected with former band mate James Salerno and the two formed a new band called Cyclone Static
Cyclone Static date back to the ’90s, when this video was made. LeVine played drums twice at Spiral Lounge as Drywater with singer/guitarist James Salerno.
Cyclone Static is a melodic punk rock band from Jersey City, New Jersey. Vocalist and guitarist James Salerno played in a band with drummer Jonathan LeVine in 1990s called Drywater. In an interview with The Jersey Journal, LeVine recalls “we never got picked up by a label [and] we never really did much. It really sounded a lot like Cyclone Static except today we’re a lot more mature.” The group disbanded, but rejoined in 2016, along with bassist Danny Patierno.
