Dog Fashion Disco Live At Spiral Lounge NYC

Dog Fashion Disco came all the way from Rockland, MD to sing and play at our Spiral Lounge venue for the OnlineTV.com global broadcast over the Internet. They arrived at the Spiral with a large bus replete with a gaggle of fans in tow. Filling the club with fans and sound they rocked for a double set at Spiral (normal sets are 20 to 30 minutes). From the moment they took the stage the club was electric and the wild show built into a crescendo of sound and dance.

Once again the band understood the camera and played for it, knowing that eventually more people would see it through the lens than were actually watching at the event. The concert is as good as Bowling For Soup when it comes to that kind of camera play. Well done boys!

Who are Dog Fashioned Disco

Combining many different music styles (1960s psychedelic, jazz, piano recital, heavy metal, circus music and vocals, among others) Dog Fashion Disco is primarily considered an avant-garde metal and alternative metal band. The band’s lyrical content is often highly esoteric and satirical, with constant tongue-in-cheek references to the occult, drug use, and mutilation. Their sound has often been compared to the Northern California genre-defying act, Mr. Bungle. The band members themselves have cited their collective influences as being Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Faith No More), Clutch, Tool, System of a Down and Frank Zappa.
Band (as far as I know here is):

Todd Smith – vocals
Greg Combs – guitars
John Ensminger – drums
Jeff Siegel – keyboards
Stephen Mears – bass guitar
