deXter Bentley took the stage at 12 Bar and, as usual, wooed the crowd with wonderful acoustic singer songwriter music. With harmonies playing up and down, syncopated beats and an amazing sense of songsterisim deXter is more than an entertainer. The show is one of his best showcasing intense songs and a warm crowd.
Who is deXter Bentley
South London based band deXter Bentley began life as a rag tag collective of musicians at the turn of the millennium (though some members of the group have been writing & performing music together for more than 30 years!) The once ‘elastic’ line-up has now settled down to a hard-core quintet of Richard Bentley, Ric Clark, Joss Cope, Ean Ravenscroft & Mark Shaw
deXter is good friends with Simon Berridge, also from the band Bromide, both are featured here.
