Country Teasers Live at Bull and Gate
The Country Teasers main feature is Ben Waller, who seems to be a William S. Burroughs incarnation with more drama but the same kind of voicing, timing and sometimes even messaging. The band is always on key and right in there with a great beat, great sound, amazing timing and change ups. Now is your chance to own one of their great performances at the amazing Bull and Gate in London. The Bull and Gate is no longer a music venue and has been turned into a wedding and event restaurant. So this can never be duplicated and is a slice of history.
The Teasers’ live shows are infamously unpredictable fusions of alcohol-or-whatever-fueled in your face and high-concept performance art, or in the words of the New York Press:
“Country Teasers does art better than Sonic Youth and drunkenness better than The Pogues and doesn’t need art or liquor to be confrontational bastards.“
What I can find about Country Teasers
Frontman and songwriter Ben Wallers’s lyrics are key to this band and he also performs solo as The Rebel. He plays those live shows with a Gameboy backing-track or accompanied by Country Teasers bassist Sophie Politowicz on drums. We cant find any shows they are doing currently. Any information is well appreciated if you can provide, corrections also appreciated.
