We were so blessed to have this rock legend appear at the Spiral Lounge, NYC for the OnlineTV.com broadcast. Impeccable performance punctuated with great song writing, multiple instrument disciplines and singing that is the glue that holds the whole show together.
It seems that Cindy has another acts singer to accompany her, my thinks from Black Milk? I will have to wait to hear from Cindy just who that is.
Who is Cindy Rickmond
Cindy holds a special place in my heart. She is not just a talented knock out, she is one of the nicest people I met through the years. She came to my office in the basement of Spiral and gave me a gift of the OnlineTV logo mounted on a huge plastic circle, suitable for hanging onstage at the Spiral.
The logo had been in the videos for over 2 years. Some bands loved it, some hated it, that is how life works. But for all of us that worked the OnlineTV internet video broadcast it was great. So Cindy has a special place in our hearts for her warm gift that is still on the wall in my office here at Rick’s Music Archives.
So Cindy’s history is long in the teeth so to speak. Her discography dates back to the late 1970’s and 90’s so she is a legend who allowed us all to have this treasured concert.
Cindy Rickmond Bush Tetras With Dee Pop (Dimitri Papadopoulos), Val Opielski, RB Korbet Cindy was part of the Bush Tetras. An American post-punk No Wave band from New York City, formed in 1979. They are best known for the 1980 song “Too Many Creeps“, which exemplified the band’s sound of “jagged rhythms, slicing guitars, and sniping vocals”.
Cindy has been in the bands ‘Cliff Barnes And The Fear Of Winning’ and ‘Unknown Gender.’
