Here is an evening of female fronted or totally female bands. It was done for MusicTV.com at the Under Acme club and it was a night called “She-Rock-O-Rama” and every band was energy packed and ready to play to a huge and cheering audience.

Battleshell did a standup performance with Lynn taking lead vocals and guitar. As she led the group through their songs the club pulsed with excitement and there was not a soul sitting down. A powerful performance from Hannah Moorhead kept the bottom groove for the band.

Hannah Moorhead is an American musician

She started playing bass guitar in 1992 after a long break from musical instruments. Her early years studying piano was her musical foundation. She moved to New York City from Connecticut in 1992 to pursue a career in film and video, working on many indie features and shorts along with two music themed TV shows. Shortly after moving, Moorhead decided that playing music was more of her passion and prioritized making bass guitar her focus.

Moorhead’s first notable band was Battershell. She joined the group after the Battleshell debut album, Sunshine In Popopia, had already been released in 1996. She became their new bassist in 1997, learning the demos to record the second record, Luv Punks, (1999) as Hannah Head. The date of this performance is March 24, 2001 and is probably the last time this group appeared. Moorhead still carries the flag in other groups.
