Aluminum Babe is not a new band, and we have their earliest gigs recorded! Here is Anna Liedberg and her Aluminum Babe right out of the shell and onto the stage at Spiral Lounge, NYC in 1997. I do not think there is an earlier recording anywhere. I have two concerts at the Spiral Lounge, NYC and one from Acme Underground. This is a real collectors dream as these Lost Concerts have finally surfaced again and even better, they were not destroyed through time.
Anna is a lithe spirit whose soft vocals and seemingly frail stature is often offset with crunching punk outbursts that let you know there is a punk core at work here.
Who are Aluminum Babe
Aluminum Babe is Anna Söder aka Anna Liedberg and most of the time George Musa is holding the back end with his bass. As they progress in time their band lineup changes all the time. I still do not have the names of all the players here but I am hoping George gives me their credits. I only know Declan Herbert was drummer in 2000 at the Spiral because I know Declan from his Drum’n Bass shows. But keep checking back as I get more information.
