An intimate evening with Gordon Haskell live at the famous 12 Bar Club in Tin Pan Alley, London, England. This performance was on May 16, 2001 as recorded by http://OnlineTV.com for Rick Siegel and contains 9 songs. Haskell was bassist and vocalist with many groups including the 1960s group Les Fleur De Lys. He Then Went on to bands Cupid’s Inspiration but was then Recruited by Robert Fripp to Join King Crimson. After that he drifted off but made a comeback with a number 2 UK hit at Christmas 2001 Called ‘How Wonderful You Are’. Here we have the first known recording of ‘How Wonderful You are’ a song along with most of an album that was yet to be released.

The whole set is a real barn burner of about 40 minutes and below is the set list as far as we know.

A Bit About Gordon Haskell

Gordon Haskell performed four-string bass and singing duties for London progressive rock band King Crimson, alongside his old Dorset schoolmate Robert Fripp. His hit song “How Wonderful You Are” is among the hits on this 2021 release of a CrescendoEntertainment DVD “An Intimate Evening With Gordon Haskell” from Ricks Music Archives. While we stay away from band politics we were always happy to welcome Gordon to the 12 Bar club. He states, in the complete video, that he loves the place. He actually lived across the street near where Jimmy Hendrix lived back in the 1960’s. Yeah, decades ago.
