Description
Johnny Panic Bull and Gate
Johnny Panic are a punk rock band from London. According to their website they were formed in 2002 but our archives show the band active and playing live at the Bull and Gate on May 19, 2001. That is well before 2002 but lets not nitpick, this is obviously the earliest video recording of the band and, as usual, came from the collection of Rick Siegel.
Bull and Gate and OnlineTV
Bull and Gate was an amazing place. It had a nice back stage area, great sound, great lighting (on nights when the lighting guy was there) and it was broadcasting bands live every night over the Internet. This was two decades ago my friends. The Bull and Gate provided some of our best rock bands out of the UK. They booked some of the best.
Johnny Panic takes the stage at Bull and Gate
and rule it for almost 30 minutes. Powerful as the whole band takes up the energy and pushes it right out at you. You have no other choice than to take it and run with it. Rob Solly takes off into insane punk runs and both Nash and Matt turn vocals as the whole band it on fire. While there is certainly an influence from The Clash the band really is in its’ own as it rams out the tunes. Like the taster provided here the concert really energizes and you can’t help but tap your feet.
