Who are Female Bureau of Investigation
Female Bureau of Investigation was a project of Sasha Sumner, a singer-songwriter as well as a saxophone player. FBI’s sound was sort of a hip-hop/indie-rock/jazz-fusion sort of sound. Sasha’s latest musical endeavor would be a wonderful backdrop for a twenty-something dinner party or a contemporary art show. The overall musicianship and production quality are of a quite highly skilled quality.
Female Bureau of Investigation, originated by Sasha Sumner as an all-girl idea, the project quickly morphed into a mixed gender art band with multiple members.
With jazz and blues grooves the band also features King Solomon an R&B soul singer with funky trumpet, sax and trombone horn lines. Sasha turns daily life upside down with quirky lyrics, sometimes humorous, with hope or lost innocence, and songs such as NuErotic Yellow or Semiotix of the Dirty Mind. FBI continues the investigation.
Sasha Sumner is a very prolific musician on the music scene as a song writers and musician playing with the likes of Joan Osborne, Debbie Schwartz, and the Hungry March Band. Check out Sasha Sumner Discography
