Peppercorn Live At Spiral Lounge With Jack Pedler Джек Педлер
Jack Pedler came to New York City to let his creative juices flow. Here we present one of his creations, the band called Peppercorn, featuring Jack Pedler on drums and vocals. This hitherto unknown band and lost concert from Jack Pedler’s history, Peppercorn gives you several very short songs in a very short set. Quite frankly I was surprised to find this concert buried on a tape of another band I was encoding. As I watched the video I almost immediately recognized Jack on the drums. Man what a surprise for me as this long lost concert revealed Canada’s number one drummer playing in a band I forgot all about. This very rare concert presents a part of Pedler’s long history and a band that has never been mentioned in his vast histories online. Well worth the price of admission this concert is music history.
Who is Jack Pedler
Canadian born Jack Pedler began as a drummer with post-punk bands Coyote Shivers, Nightboys and Teenage Mind. His debut single LP, Fairyland It Ain’t, was released 1998. Drummer and songwriter extraordinaire Jack Pedler started his career as a teenager playing in the Warner Bros / RCA recording band, Buxton Kastle. He went on with Canadian icons The Mercy Brothers, Ray Materick and finally with the nationally acclaimed punk band, Teenage Head, with whom he still performs after two decades.
During his years with “The Head“, Jack relocated to NY city and recorded his first solo CD, Fairyland It Ain’t, most of which is in his other concert here. Jack switched labels and producers and found his way to Race Records. There he created his critically acclaimed CD, D. T. Delinquent. Jack is recognized a top session drummer on the Canadian music scene.
Jack received the 2005 Hamilton Music Awards nomination for Best Drummer.
