12 Bar Club was a great place for Steve Bennett and his BluesBusters to stop and kick out some jams. They did just that with over an hour set of blues, rock, and tunes familiar to everyone. When Steve starts to kick out the blues you are transported back to the old days when Chicago players like Mike Bloomfield, Steve Miller and Boz Scaggs where around kicking out blues. A trip down to the old Maxwell Street market when it was a real oasis of blues and the old beards would be showing their wares well into the night, where color no longer mattered, just the music.
This set is an hour and 28 minutes of music, they hardly miss a beat. Saxophones, trumpets, keyboards, and the musical gyrations of the great Steve Bennett wailing his vocals while twanging that guitar making it cry.
